Product description: This is a 9" x 8" sculpture made of aluminum 18-Guage wire. The whimsical lines in this sculpture harken to the buoyancy and brightness of spring in interior Alaska.

Process description: I worked the wire to emulate the lines in a simple line drawing of a bkack-capped chickadee drawn in the field.

Lessons learned: Wire attachments/ joints require considerable finesse, and there are videos online with lots of different approaches to try in different circumstances (or depending on the thickness and liability of the wire).
